What you need to know about BillionsBack

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I choose to search for my new home here instead of Zillow or other search sites?

Great question! The obvious answer is when you search on this site, you receive the largest rebate for homebuyers on the internet. Fun fact:  Agents who provide professional real estate services on Zillow and other search sites are advertising on those sites and you as the buyer are ultimately paying for that advertising.  At BillionsBack, the homebuyer shares the ($) benefit along with their BillionsBack agent.

How do schedule an appointment to see a home?

Simply enter your criteria into the search engine and go. Once you see a home you like, click on “Schedule a Showing”  and we will arrange a showing at your convenience.

What do I need to do to start searching?

Type in a zip code or a city in the search bar. Feel free to put in a maximum or a minimum price, how many bedrooms, or simply just the city. The level of detail is up to you.  It’s just like Zillow but with a rebate!

Will I see every property on the market just like Zillow?

Yes. We use the same data as every other site. Think of it as a gallon of milk. Home Search sites are a commodity; there is nothing extraordinary about the data.  What is extraordinary is the BillionsBack rebate posted on every home (and, of course, the personalized service).

Do I need an agent?

Yes, if it is the right agent.  An agent who knows the property.  An agent who knows how to negotiate on your behalf.  So yes, agents are a critical part of the home-buying process.  But look no further, as you will find the highest quality and most experienced agents at BillionsBack.

Can I use my own agent to buy a home and still get the rebate and cause a donation?

Yes, although you will not be able to receive the buyer rebate as those funds would be allocated to your agent. However, you can have your agent call us and sign up, and we will work out the details for you to receive your rebate.

Are the home prices in the listings already set or can I make an offer?

Usually, we advise you to not offer the full asking price of the home unless it is in multiple offers. We will advise you on the best offer based on our data comparisons in the area. Bottom line: Your financial interests are the most essential part of this entire process balanced by your desire for that particular home.

Explain to me why BillionsBack can give this enormous rebate to homebuyers?

To understand how we can give you such an enormous rebate you must understand how it works on the other search sites. Sites such as Zillow pay the advertising realtor a 2.5%  commission on the home you are buying.  This drives up the price of the home and limits your negotiation range.  BillionsBack channels a portion of those commission dollars previously appropriated to the Zillow, agent to you and your family.

How does the rebate work?

The rebate is simple. You can choose to receive a check after closing or apply it to your closing costs. You can also use all or part of the rebate to obtain a below-market interest rate, saving you significant dollars for the life of the loan.

How soon do I receive my rebate after I buy my home?

The check is cut to you the day of closing.  There is no guessing.  You will know from the beginning precisely what your rebate figure is.

If I find a home on a search site like Zillow, will I also find it on this site and earn the rebate for my family?

Yes! However, if you want to lock in your rebate you must schedule the showing for the property on BillionsBack.  Bottom line:  Search on any site but schedule the appointment on BillionsBack to guarantee your homebuyer’s rebate.

What is the difference between this site and other home search sites like Zillow?

The search functions and data are the same.  Sites like Zillow don’t offer a consumer rebate as their cost of doing business is bloated.
